After a pause last year, the Olalla Americana Music Festival is back for its 30th edition Aug. 17, offering a full day of fun for the whole family, with live music, arts and crafts, children’s activities, food and drinks, a beer garden, and even a pie contest.
The festival will be held at the South Kitsap Southern Little League Stacey Memorial Ballfield on Olalla Valley Road, a news release states. The lineup includes performances by Studebaker Clark Synder, Runaway Train, Hot Damn Scandal, Brian James Was Here, Reid Jamieson, Johnny Franco, Sister Speak, and will conclude with CD Woodbury.
The festival features entertainment for children, face painting, and a children’s parade. The festival will also host over 50 vendors offering arts and crafts, country food, and a glimpse into Olalla’s history. Demonstrations by local spinners, quilters, painters, and wood-turners will showcase their skills. Also taking place is the All Berry Pie Baking Contest, with grand prizes awarded for the best-tasting and best-looking pies.
The festival is a fundraising event for the nonprofit Olalla Community Club and the Olalla Grange, per the release.
Tickets are $30 online and $35 at the gate. Children under 17 are free. There is parking at the complex for a fee of $5 per vehicle and campsites available for $20 per night. Discounted tickets are available at several local locations near Olalla. For more information, visit Olallaamericana.com.
