The fifth Christmas Art Walk is planned for Friday, Dec. 12 in Old Town Silverdale. People can meet the artists from 6 to 8 p.m. at the free event.
Grape Expectations Wine Shop will showcase artwork by Virginia Pace, Linda’s Knit n’ Stitch will house Christy Camerer’s work, Paul Taylor will showcase his artwork at Olympic Veterinary Hospital, Patricia Huelle will be at Silverdale Fine Arts, Debra Saldivar and Libby Sullivan will show their work at Monica’s Waterfront Bakery and Lisa Stirrett and Denise Mahoney will be at the Lisa Stirrett Glass Studio.
Independent galleries will be displayed at Kitsap Arts, The Backdoor Gallery, A Company of Friends, Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers, the Central Kitsap School District office, McGregor & Company and Old Town Custom Framing & Gallery.
Various Old Town Silverdale businesses will offer promotions during the art walk. Jeanette’s Old Town Flowers will give out free roses, A Company of Friends will offer 30 percent off any one Christmas item, Kitsap Arts will host a drawing for free classes, McGregor & Company will host a drawing for a $50 gift certificate, TeeDee Company will host a drawing for a $30 gift certificate and Monica’s Waterfront Bakery will give a free cookie to those who bring a donation for the local food bank.
The Peace Lutheran Church & School Children’s Choir, Washington Academy of Music Guitar Ensemble, Kitsap Christmas Carolers, Accordionist Doreen Fox and Cellist Clare Brooks will provide music throughout the evening.
Art walk-goers can bring canned food items to donate to the Kitsap Food Bank as well as toys for the Marines’ Toys for Tots drive. Local Boy Scouts will guide people through the art walk and people should be on the lookout for Santa Claus.
