Rian Stephon McNair, 22, of the 7300 block of Blackbird Drive NW in Bremerton, has been charged with robbery in the first degree in Kitsap County District Court.

Police allege that McNair stabbed a man and took his wallet at about 11 p.m. April 25 near Fairgrounds Road and Silver Pine Drive. The victim told police that he was walking near the intersection when McNair and another man approached him and demanded his wallet and phone. After refusing to hand the items over, the victim said that McNair stabbed him in the forearm.

Police reports also indicate that McNair had been in the parking lot of the Handy Andy’s Store around the same time earlier in the evening that another male stole a can and bottle of beer, fled on foot and threatened a store employee with a knife.

The stabbing victim was able to positively identify McNair as the man who robbed him. McNair and the man with him at the time of his arrest said that they were given a backpack with the beer taken during the Handy Andy’s robbery from a third man. No knife or wallet were found in the bag after a search warrant was executed.

Police were unable to locate the suspect from the store robbery who is described as a known transient in various reports.
