SUQUAMISH — A pickup truck driver was transported to Harrison Medical Center and a light pole toppled onto the roadway in a collision near the Longhouse Texaco on Highway 305, shortly after noon June 3.
A Washington State Patrol trooper on the scene was still investigating when asked for details about the collision. The truck was off the road, having gone into bushes and knocking over a light pole in the process. A second vehicle, a Prius, had damage to its front bumper. The fallen light post blocked the southbound lane.
Two Suquamish police officers directed traffic as traffic was reduced to one lane. A firefighter was also on the scene, talking with the state trooper as well as police. The couple in the Prius were unscathed and on scene talking with police.
