Pair of suspects identified in Sunnyslope burglary

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office has identified two of the suspects believed to be involved in the burglary at a South Kitsap residence Nov. 14. They are Andrew Michael Hoffman, 29, and Tony Rem, 25.

They are Andrew Michael Hoffman, 29, and Tony Rem, 25.

KCSO detectives were able to identify the suspects through investigative work and with assistance from public.

A felony arrest warrant was issued for both suspects last week by Kitsap County District Court for first-degree burglary and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. The warrant is full extradition, nationwide and bail was set at $250,000 each.

Hoffman is a 5-foot-6, 170-pound Asian or Pacific Islander with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his arm, hands and hip, and frequents South Kitsap, Tacoma and South King County.

Rem is 5-foot-8, 160-pound Asian or Pacific Islander with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his arms, hands, shoulders and chest. Rem is known to frequent Auburn, Federal Way, White Center and Rainer Valley.

Hoffman has previous convictions for burglary and theft, while Rem is described a violent offender and has previous felony convictions for assault.

Two men forced their way into an unoccupied house in the Sunnyslope area of South Kitsap, while armed, during the afternoon of Nov. 14.

Once inside the men ransacked the residence. Items stolen during the burglary include a semi-automatic handgun, personal identifying documents belonging to the residents, credit cards, an electronic entertainment console, jewelry and more.

The two suspects may still be in possession of a 2001 Dodge Dakota truck, black in color, Washington state license B14937V, which is registered to an address in Spokane Valley.
