A Bremerton police officer was among multiple people struck by pellets Halloween night in separate incidents.

At 6:46 p.m. Sunday, a Bremerton police officer was called to a possible burglary in the 2400 block of 11th Street. While talking to a 36-year-old Bremerton man and 25-year-old Belfair man, the police officer heard a repetitive popping sound from behind and felt a stinging sensation on his left middle finger knuckle, apparently shot by a pellet gun, according to reports. At the same time, the 25-year-old man screamed in pain and sustained a bloody welt on his back.

There was no evidence of pellets and no suspect information.

Thirteen minutes earlier, police responded to the 1300 block of Worrall Drive on reports of an assault with a pellet gun. A juvenile boy told police he was walking on Almira Drive and was shot 20 to 30 times, according to reports. He saw three black sport utility vehicles speeding southbound on Almira Drive and heard the sound of an automatic pellet gun and felt shots in the head and chest. Police found one pellet near Almira Drive and Hope Street where the boy reported being shot.
