To pull or not to pull

A Bremerton Police officer responded to Bremerton Lanes on Bruenn Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. May 4 because a security guard said he saw a woman pull a fire alarm and run.

The Bremerton Lanes security guard told the officer he chased the woman and last saw her at Denny’s on Kitsap Way.

The officer drove by Denny’s and saw a large crowd standing outside the building. He noted in his report it looked like the building was evacuated due to a fire alarm.

The officer spotted the 28-year-old suspect outside the restaurant and she said, “What now?” The officer handcuffed the Bremerton woman, who appeared intoxicated, and sat her in the back of his patrol car.

The officer tried to talk to the woman while she was sitting in the car and her sweatshirt fell off her shoulder.

The woman said, “Can you fix my shirt, my boob fell out.”

The officer fixed her shirt and the woman denied pulling any fire alarm.

She later admitted to pulling the fire alarm. She told the officer she did it because she was angry with her ex-husband for taking her daughter away.

A report was forwarded to the city prosecutor for charging.

Uninvited, drunk guest

A Bremerton Police officer responded to an apartment in the 700 block of Chester Avenue in Bremerton shortly before 5 p.m. May 4 regarding someone trespassing and making threats.

A 45-year-old woman told the officer a 31-year-old woman who lives in the same apartment complex walked into her apartment uninvited. She said she doesn’t know the woman, but sees her in the hallways at times.

The 45-year-old woman said the woman appeared intoxicated and when she told her to leave, the suspect said she was going to “kick her (expletive deleted).”

The woman eventually left the apartment.

A report was forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

Young cell phone

snatcher at large

A woman called police around 3:30 p.m. May 4 to report a cell phone had been stolen from a girl at Mountain View Middle School in Bremerton.

The juvenile victim said the $200 cell phone was stolen from her backpack sometime during the school day. She said she discovered the phone was missing on the bus ride home from school.

The girl said they don’t have lockers at school and she left her backpack unattended during lunch and physical education.

The Bremerton Police officer called the cell phone number and someone answered, then quickly hung up. He called it two more times and the same thing happened both times.

The officer told the victim and the reporting person to deactivate the phone.
