They’ve got issues
A deputy responded to Home Depot in Silverdale around 10 a.m. Sept. 14 to speak with a 23-year-old woman.
The woman, who smelled of alcohol, told the deputy she was at a friend’s house and was asleep in bed next to her friend, a 31-year-old man. She woke up when she was “stomped on the head.”
The woman said the 23-year-old woman who repeatedly kicked her is the man’s ex-girlfriend. The man’s ex-girlfriend then left and the alleged victim called her father to come pick her up and he brought her to Home Depot.
The deputy went to the 31-year-old man’s home in the 8400 block of Silverdale Way NW and he said the two women started arguing and fighting, then they both fell down a small number of stairs.
The deputy called the ex-girlfriend who said she was at his house to drop off their child and she knocked on the door numerous times and eventually the woman came to the door and started yelling at her for waking her up.
No arrest was made.
Attempted dognapping
A 20-year-old man called police at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 for an attempted theft at his Northlake Way NW home in Central Kitsap.
The man told a deputy he heard his dogs barking that morning and looked out the window to find an unknown man on his porch. The man was at the dog door trying to get one of his dogs. He ran outside and saw the man had the dog inside the car with him. The dog owner told the man, “Give me my dog or I will kick the (expletive deleted) out of you!” The man said he was getting the dog for someone and it didn’t belong to him, the dog owner. The man then tossed the small dog out the car window and the dog owner caught it. The man then left the scene.
The deputy searched the area and was unable to find the vehicle.Senior serial exposer
A sheriff’s deputy responded to a call regarding a sex offense at Java Joint drive-thru coffee on Ridgetop Boulevard in Silverdale at 10 a.m. Sept. 17.
The owner told the deputy that since January an elderly man has been visiting the coffee stand and exposing his privates as he drives around to pick up his drink. The man reportedly orders his coffee and by the time he drives around to the pick-up window, his privates are exposed. The Java Joint owner said this has happened 30-40 times and he believes the man intentionally exposes himself.
On Sept. 17, the man drove up to the window and the owner took his order. When he realized the man was taking longer than usual to drive to the pick-up window, he exited the coffee stand and confronted the man in his car. The Java Joint owner said the man was exposing himself at that time.
The deputy checked the license plate number the Java Joint owner gave him and found it was registered to a 77-year-old Poulsbo man. Another deputy detained the man and brought him to the Silverdale sheriff’s precinct for questioning.
The deputy told the man the Java Joint owner saw him exposing himself that morning and the man denied it. The deputy told him the owner and coffee stand employees had witnessed him exposing himself numerous times and the man said, “They’re mistaken.”
The deputy checked the man’s criminal history and he had been in trouble with the law numerous times for exposing himself.
He was arrested and booked into jail for indecent exposure. His bail is set at $5,000.
