Perhaps unhappy with his taco
An 18-year-old Bremerton woman called police shortly after 2 p.m. May 16 to report that her 20-year-old husband just struck her in the face at Los Cabos Restaurant in Silverdale. She said her husband also has physically abused her in the past.
The woman told deputies she and her husband have been married a little more than a year and he has a long history of domestic violence including a current warrant for his arrest for assaulting her in Pierce County.
The woman said they were eating lunch at Los Cabos when her husband became upset, but she didn’t know why. Her husband flipped her chair backwards causing her to fall to the ground, hitting the wall on the way down. When the woman started to get up, he walked toward her and she pushed him away. The man then punched his wife on the side of her head.
The man admitted to flipping his wife’s chair over, but denied hitting her in the head.
The Bremerton man was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault. His bail is set at $15,000.
Clothing optional
A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of a suspicious man in the 11200 block of Old Military Road NE in Poulsbo around 5:15 p.m. May 17. The man was reportedly banging on the door and windows of a person’s home. The caller also reported seeing a brown SUV leaving the area very quickly.
Upon arrival, the deputies found the 54-year-old Bremerton man who indicated that he did not speak English. The Hispanic male smelled strongly of alcohol, according to the deputies.
A witness said the man knocked on his door and was not wearing pants, so he gave him a pair of jeans and the man walked away.
The man later told deputies that he and three female acquaintances decided to go swimming at a secluded pond at the dead end of Old Military Road. “At some point during this adventure, clothing became optional,” stated the deputy in his report. A short time later, a misunderstanding occurred and the women left in the brown SUV with the man’s pants, abandoning their male swim partner.
The man was given a ride back to his Burwell Street apartment.
