Police searched for a 17-year-old girl at Silverdale Waterfront Park on Tuesday after her car was seen parked there.
The girl, whose name was not released, was seen on Monday at Olympic High School. A missing person report was filed early Tuesday morning by her parents.
A search of the park and the surrounding area was initiated Tuesday after the girl’s car was seen parked nearby. A police boat and a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department dive team were utilized in the search.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson said the water search was a matter of due diligence.
“We’re just covering all bases,” he said.
