POULSBO — Potential victims are being sought in a rape case against a local massage practitioner.
Patrick Georges Belhon, 44, the owner of Olympic Spa & Massage on Front Street and a licensed massage practitioner, was charged with rape in the third degree by the Kitsap County Prosecutor on March 2. Belhon was first arrested on the charge Feb. 27.
According to charging papers, the victim made an appointment with Belhon at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 at Olympic Spa & Massage. The massage, which was prescribed to the victim by her doctor, took place in a treatment room in the lower level of the building.
The certification for probable cause states that once inside the treatment room, the victim claimed that Belhon asked her to undress and when she was reluctant to do so, he said he was a professional.
The victim also claims that in prior visits, Belhon told her he, “Had trouble maintaining his professionalism around (her) and that she made him feel on fire.”
The papers state that when the victim finally did undress during the Feb. 25 visit, she claimed that Belhon massaged her differently than in past treatments. Eventually, he allegedly began to touch her breasts and genitals. Belhon allegedly forced the woman to perform oral sex on him and “the defendant then had sexual intercourse with (her),” the report states.
In a continued investigation of the incident, the Poulsbo Police Department is asking any individual who feels that he or she has been victimized by Belhon to contact the Poulsbo Police department and file a report.
“It’s one incident that we know of, but we want more to come forward if there are any,” PPD Detective Grant Romaine said. “If they have any inclination, we want them to contact us.”
Rape in the third degree is defined in Revised Code of Washington 9A.44.060 as sexual intercourse that takes place despite a clear lack of consent, either verbal or by conduct, expressed by the victim. It can also involve an assault where there is a threat of “substantial unlawful harm to property rights of the victim.” It is a class C felony, which is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Belhon is out of custody awaiting trial.
