POULSBO — A Port Angeles man was killed and three people, including a Poulsbo man, were injured in a three-car collision on Highway 101 eight miles west of Sequim, Monday morning.

The cause of the crash was under investigation Tuesday, Washington State Patrol reported.

Stewart E. Wyckoff, 28, of Poulsbo was driving a 2003 Ford flatbed westbound on U.S. 101 approaching Cliff Robinson Lane about 8:30 a.m. when his vehicle rear-ended a Honda Accord four-door that was signaling to turn left onto Cliff Robinson Lane. The impact pushed the car across the centerline and into a ditch.

Wyckoff’s truck rotated into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2001 Ford F150 Pickup driven by Bryan T. Crawford, 52, of Port Angeles. Crawford’s pickup, which had been heading eastbound, rolled and came to rest on the eastbound shoulder.  Crawford was declared dead at the scene, Washington State Patrol reported. A passenger, Nicholas A. Crawford, 19, of Port Angeles was not injured. Another passenger, John N. McMahon, 42, of Port Angeles, was transported to Olympic Medical Center and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. All three had been wearing seat belts, Washington State Patrol reported.

Wyckoff was transported to Olympic Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to Washington State Patrol.

Kayla E. Walls, 22, of Cedar City, Utah, driver of the Honda Accord, was transported to Olympic Medical Center as a precaution. Her passenger, Corbin D. Reneman, 20, of Sequim, was transported to Olympic Medical Center. It was not known whether they had been wearing seat belts, according to Washington State Patrol.
