KINGSTON — In a special meeting on Tuesday, March 6, the Port of Kingston voted unanimously to approve the payment of $124,000 to Kingston resident Tania Issa.
The penalties stem from the port’s failure to fulfill Issa’s public records requests in 2014-15.
After court fees and laywer costs that amounts adds up to nearly $252,000. This came after Issa requested to go into mediation to settle a dispute.
