Port Orchard man injured in crash in Scandia

A Port Orchard man was reportedly injured when his vehicle went off the road, rolled down an embankment and struck a pole on Scandia Road five miles south of Poulsbo, shortly before 2 p.m. June 17.

SCANDIA — A Port Orchard man was reportedly injured when his vehicle went off the road, rolled down an embankment and struck a pole on Scandia Road five miles south of Poulsbo, shortly before 2 p.m. June 17.

Thomas A. Barrett, 70, was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, according to Washington State Patrol.

State parol reported that Barrett was driving his 2005 Subaru Forester eastbound on State Route 308 when he “experienced a medical issue.” His vehicle crossed the westbound lane, exited the roadway, rolled down the embankment and struck the pole.

Barrett’s vehicle was totaled and was impounded by Kitsap Towing.
