Taken from an incident report by a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy:

Lydia F. Hahn, a Port Orchard 67-year-old, allegedly stabbed her husband with a garden scissors July 16.

Tension had allegedly built up between the two over the course of the past day, but culminated in an hour-long fight, during which the woman allegedly accused her husband of having homosexual affairs.

He allegedly said that he’d had enough and wanted to leave.

He started packing his belongings, and then she allegedly attacked him with a garden scissors.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the scene around 6:30 p.m. and found the man seated on a concrete retaining wall, applying pressure to his forearm just below the elbow.

Blood was dripping down his arm, onto the ground.

Deputies photographed that injury, as well as puncture wounds to his biceps and a small nick to his left temple.

They asked the woman what had happened, and she allegedly told them about an incident that had occurred three years ago.

To get her back on track, a deputy asked her how the scissors came into play.

“What scissors?” she allegedly asked.

It had been suggested that she stabbed her husband, a deputy said.

“You can’t prove anything,” she allegedly replied.

A deputy noted that she had a bloody finger nail, appeared intoxicated and smelled strongly of intoxicants.

The woman was arrested and initially booked into jail for first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $50,000.

It was, later, lowered to $10,000.
