Improvements to the taxiways at the Bremerton International Airport will be discussed when the board of commissioners for the Port of Bremerton meets on Tuesday.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the Bill Mahan conference room at the Port Administration Building, 8850 SW Highway 3, Bremerton.

On the agenda for action is a contract with W&H Pacific for the 2014 Taxiway and Apron Improvement Project that has been authorized by the FAA.

The design will be in two phases. Phase one is the pre-design work consisting of surveying and site work. Phase two is the final design.

The contract is for work for phase one and the cost is $98,453, 90 percent of which is being paid by the FAA. The port’s portion  is $9,845.
