PORT ORCHARD — Motorists who travel on Melcher Street in Port Orchard are being alerted by the city’s public works department that a portion of the road will be closed for paving Friday.

Melcher Street between Pottery Avenue and Heron Ridge Avenue will be closed for asphalt paving Friday, Aug. 30, until 4 p.m., city officials said.
