SILVERDALE — The Home Builders Association of Kitsap County hosted the first annual Builders Best Awards ceremony at the Oxford Suites in Silverdale.

Two Poulsbo-based companies won awards for custom and green home construction – Kitsap Trident Homes and Cedar Bay Homes.

On June 20, seven HBA Builder members were recognized for their prowess in the building industry on the Kitsap Peninsula. The Builders Best Awards program was designed to provide important, peer validated recognition for high quality construction. All submissions for award categories were reviewed and voted on by a panel of past HBA Presidents. Each entry was provided to the judges without any company identifying information so the judges “were blind” as to whom the corresponding builders were.

The following categories and their respective winners is provided as follows: (1) Multi-Family Home – Bremerton Housing Authority; (2) Speculative Home Under $300k w/land – Cook Construction Inc.; (3) Custom Home $300 – $499k – Armstrong Homes of Bremerton; (4) Custom Home $500-$800k – Kitsap Trident Homes Inc.; (5) Built Green® Home – Cedar Bay Homes; (6) Judges Choice Best Value – Cook Construction Inc.; (7) Custom Home above $800k – Kitsap Trident Homes Inc.
