POULSBO — A home on the 3000 block of Closser Drive off Clear Creek Road in Poulsbo was reportedly burglarized July 6.
A woman who was housesitting reported the incident around 7 p.m. She arrived at the house and saw it had been “ransacked.” Unsure if the burglary was still in progress, she backed out of the house and called 9-1-1. No one was in the house when the sheriff’s deputy arrived.
The rear sliding glass door was partially pried open with a shovel handle, according to the report. Drawers were standing open and items “were strewn about everywhere.”
The house-sitter was unsure of the items missing, but the residents were due back that evening. Two Rottweilers were in the house at the time, but one was locked in a back room and the other was outside. The deputy was able to pull a partial fingerprint from the edge of a TV.
There are no suspects at this time, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
