POULSBO— Joshua D. Lighty, 19, of Poulsbo, is charged in Kitsap County District Court with felony harassment.
A Poulsbo police officer was investigating a domestic malicious mischief case April 12, when a relative of Lighty’s said he was concerned about a post Lighty allegedly made on Facebook, according to the report.
Lighty had also recently been involved in a hit and run collision on Feb. 20. In the report, the relative said Lighty was angry with the Poulsbo PD lately.
The officer found and saved a post from Lighty’s Facebook page, where Lighty allegedly wrote he will “go in [sic] a mass cop killin spree for Poulsbo pigs.” Lightly also allegedly wrote details of threatening police officers with a shotgun.
Lighty was booked into Kitsap County Jail on $75,000 bail.
— Editor’s note: A previous version of the article stated Lighty was under investigation as a suspect in a hit and run collision. In Lighty’s charging documents, the Poulsbo officer noted Lighty was a “suspect” in the hit and run, but detailed from the hit and run report that Lighty was a passenger and was “acting aggressive.”
