Poulsbrew, put on by the Chamber of Commerce, got approval from City Council to move the September event from Poulsbo Village to Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park.
Since 2019, the chamber has organized Poulsbrew, a brew fest featuring local breweries, cideries, wineries, musicians, and food trucks with 400 to 500 attendees each year, council documents state. This year’s event will be Sept. 21. While the organization says Poulsbo Village has been a functional location for Poulsbrew, it does not highlight the beauty of Poulsbo.
This year, the beer garden will be set up at the north end of Waterfront Park and Austin-Kvelstad Pavilion will be used for live music throughout the day, per documents. New features this year include a chili cookoff and battle of the bands. Poulsbrew will not include food trucks this year, instead walking maps of downtown will be passed out to encourage attendees to visit local restaurants.
Parking spots at the north end of the park will be reserved for vendors and staff. Boaters can also travel to the event via the Port of Poulsbo. The topic will be placed on the consent agenda for approval at the Aug. 7 council meeting.
