TACOMA  — The Puget Sound Partnership’s Science Panel will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, in the Commencement Bay conference room at the Center for Urban Waters, 326 East D St.

The Science Panel includes some of the top scientists in the Northwest and advises the Partnership’s efforts to develop a science-based comprehensive plan to restore Puget Sound.

Agenda highlights include:

• Results of an independent review of the Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (PSEMP) by the Ruckelshaus Center and an update on the PSEMP monitoring gap summary.

• Adoption of the 2014-16 Biennial Science Work Plan (BSWP) and discussion on a strategy for developing the 2016-18 BSWP.

• Discussion on how to best integrate science into the development of implementation strategies.
