Be sure to grab your bib this Thanksgiving — you won’t want to race without it.
Registration is open for Bainbridge Island Helpline House’s annual Turkey Trot, one of the nonprofits’ largest fundraising events of the year.
The race will return to Battle Point Park Nov. 28. Entrants of all ages can choose between two “Fun Runs”: a one-miler or a 5K. Registered competitors will receive a limited-edition T-shirt and a runner’s bib while supplies last, which can be picked up Nov. 24 or Nov. 27 between 1-3 p.m. Early birds can get $5 off their registration fee until Nov. 23; on-time birds pay full price.
Helpline House is a social services hub. For those who are in the spirit but not the tracksuit, Helpline House is accepting assistance for its Thanksgiving Services program. It welcomes donations of grocery store gift cards; non-perishable foods like spices, canned pumpkin and baking supplies; food kits that include all the ingredients for a recipe or meal; and some fresh or frozen holiday foods.
