POULSBO — This event is tamer than the reality show “Storage Wars.” But you’ll still be able to find some nifty stuff — and help local food banks in the process.

Reliable Storage’s fifth annual garage sale begins July 20. Tenants at six of seven Reliable sites will open their units and sell what’s within — from antiques to tools. A total of 65 tenants will participate, according to Reliable Storage senior operations manager Jim Helfrick.

Participating buyers and sellers are asked to bring canned food items for local food banks.

Here’s the schedule. All sales are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— July 20: 1080 NE Forest Rock Lane, Poulsbo.
— July 27: 10600 State Highway 104, Kingston.
— Aug. 3: 9551 New Brooklyn Road NE, Bainbridge Island.
— Aug. 10: 9324 Old Military Road NE, Bremerton.
— Aug. 17: 8233 Spring Creek Road SE, Port Orchard.
— Aug. 24: 1480 NE Fairgrounds Road, Bremerton.

Reliable Storage in Silverdale is not participating.

Helfrick said golf-cart shuttle service will be provided for those who need it, and also to help buyers get items to their vehicles. Parking attendants will be on site to keep the movement of vehicles orderly.

Helfrick said Reliable Storage doesn’t make any money from the garage sales. “It’s more of a service we can offer the tenants,” he said. “And it’s fun for the tenants.”
