The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office has taken a missing persons report for Wendy Stevens on the evening of 9/25/13.  We have confirmed with the Sheriff’s Office that Ms. Stevens has now been located and is safe, and has been cleared as a missing person.

The family has asked for privacy and both the Sheriff’s Office and the Bremerton Police Department will respect that request.

Media reports have linked the missing person status as being related to the investigation of theft from a PTA fund that the Bremerton Police Department is investigating.  Chief Steve Strachan said, “We do not comment on active investigations  However, I would ask that people do not draw conclusions.  Please slow down and allow the investigation to be completed.  Everyone involved deserves their privacy, and any conclusions should be based on facts, not assumptions.”
