POULSBO — More than 100 children participated in the 19th annual Easter Candy Hunt at Raab Park, March 30. The event was sponsored by the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Department, with the assistance of the Lions and Rotary clubs, Central Market, and the Poulsbo Middle School Honor Society.
The event was well-organized, with separate hunts beginning for different age groups at five-minute intervals: Ages 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-11. Certain plastic eggs were redeemable for prizes at a prize table.
The Lions Club served lunch — hot dogs and sodas — for donations as a fundraiser for future Lions Club events. Leo the Lion was also an event participant, meeting and greeting children and posing for photos.
