POULSBO — The North Kitsap School Board is accepting applications for the director position vacated by Dan Weedin.

Applicants must live within the District 2 boundary, an area of North Kitsap that stretches from north of Liberty Bay, south to Island Lake. A map of the director boundaries can be viewed here.

Applications are due by noon Nov. 3. The board will review applications the same day.

The board will narrow the pool of applications to five people if needed.

Public interviews will be held during a special board meeting in the board room at 6 p.m., Nov. 4., in the district office, 18360 Caldart Ave. NE, Poulsbo.

The board will appoint a new District 2 director Nov. 4 after the public interviews. The appointed director will finish out Weedin’s term, which expire December 2015.
