Beginning in July, South Kitsap School District board of director meetings will be moved to Tuesday nights.

The school board approved moving the meeting from Wednesdays to Tuesdays because of Director Patty Henderson’s work schedule as a registered nurse.

Henderson represents District No. 1 which includes Port Orchard, Annapolis, Gorst and the Old Belfair Highway.

According to Robbie Bell, executive assistant to the superintendent, the board will not meet the first week in July. The board will meet on July 15 and 22.

The board will now meet the first, third and fourth Tuesdays each month, beginning in August.
