board meeting

The North Kitsap Board of Directors will have a brief meeting at 10 a.m. on Aug. 11 in the Board Room of the Student Support Center, 18360 Caldart Ave. NE, Poulsbo, to take action on a recommendation concerning the North Kitsap Community Pool Advisory Committee. No public comment will be taken. The board will then recess to conduct a retreat to discuss the board’s and superintendent’s goals for the 2008-09 school year.

Poulsbo Middle School new student registration

Students who are new to the North Kitsap School District and live in the Poulsbo Middle School attendance area can register for the 2008-09 school year beginning on Aug. 20. Please call (360) 598-1005 for a registration appointment. Proof of residence and immunization records are required at the time of registration.

supplies needed

The North Kitsap Fishline Food Bank is starting its 2008-09 school supplies program which provides K-12 children in need with basic school supplies. Items such as glue sticks, loose-leaf notebook paper, colored pencils, washable color markers, spiral paper and more are needed.
