PMS receives grant from Bank of America
Poulsbo Middle School’s Peer Mentor Teams Program received a $4,700 grant from the Bank of America Foundation Nov. 19.
The program pairs trained student mentors with classmates who need assistance in their schoolwork. Peer Mentor Coordinator Ginny Bell said she has seen the program benefit both mentors and mentees alike.
“It’s another chance for leadership,” she said. “Middle school kids need to do something meaningful.”
Bell added that the program could not stay afloat without the Bank of America grant.
“I don’t think I’d be able to do this this year without their grant,” she said.
