Kingston High Drama presents ‘Anything Goes’
The Kingston High School Drama Club presents “Anything Goes,” beginning today in the North Kitsap Auditorium in Poulsbo.
The play will show at 7 p.m. Jan. 22, 23, 29 and 30, and at 2 p.m. Jan. 24.
Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students.
Help NK students celebrate grad night
Several local businesses are chipping in to help defray the cost of North Kitsap High School Senior Grad Night celebrations.
On Feb. 8, Famous Dave’s restaurant in Silverdale will donate 15 percent of meal tabs to pay for the celebration, when patrons request it.
Whiskey Creek Ranch House Grill in Poulsbo and The Inn at Port Ludlow will also donate a portion of gift card proceeds to Grad Night. Buyers must mention Grad Night when purchasing the gift cards. American Rose Bridal in Poulsbo will give patrons $5 off a tux rental or dress purchase of $50 or more and give Grad Night $3 for any Grad Night coupon brought in.
Red Cross offers free CPR training
The American Red Cross will offer free CPR training for teens, ages 12-18, Jan. 30 at the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale. Classes begin at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the center court outside of Macy’s. Classes consist of a video, skills test and written test, taking about two and a half hours to complete.

Options students to perform ‘Bring the War Home!’
Middle school students in the North Kitsap Options Program will perform “Bring the War Home!” a play about resistance to the Vietnam War, the first two weekends in February. Performances will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 and 12, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 6, 7 and 13, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 14. All shows are in the Gordon Elementary School multi-purpose room. NK Options hosts info night
The North Kitsap Options Program will host information nights at 7 p.m. March 10 and April 14 at Gordon Elementary School in Kingston. The Options program is open to students in grades K-8. It provides a community-based education that encourages self-directed, life-long learning through significant family involvement, independent learning groups and curricula that are responsive to students’ needs and interests. NK grads named to EWU dean’s list
Six North Kitsap High School graduates were named to the dean’s list at Eastern Washington University for fall quarter 2009. Jordan Gilman, Sean Carlson, Breona Johnson, Kevin Chumbley, Alec Reeves and Sara Barrett, all of Poulsbo, were named to the list. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 while taking at least 12 credits in a quarter.
