Wally Lis, former director of curriculum and assessment for the North Kitsap School District, has been named principal of Rainier High School in Rainier. Lis had been the interim principal of Poulsbo Elementary School after his former position was eliminated during a restructuring of district administrative positions last spring.

Glen Robbins, a 30-year veteran of school leadership and classroom teaching, most recently the instructional coach for NKSD’s Highly Capable program, has been selected to replace Lis as the interim principal at Poulsbo Elementary School for the 2009-10 school year.

The district will select a new long-term principal for Poulsbo Elementary through a full process of staff, parent and community involvement. The goal is to fill that position by February.
