Scott Deiner is the Port Orchard City Council’s recommended candidate for the council’s vacant Position 3 seat, according to City Clerk Brandy Rinearson.

Rinearson said she sent emails Monday afternoon to the other candidates notifying them of the council’s recommendation.

Deiner is a manager with the Kitsap County Department of Community Development.

His recommendation will be voted on by the full council Tuesday night at its regular 7 p.m. City Council meeting.

Council members met in executive session Thursday and Monday morning to evaluate the six candidates who applied and interviewed for the position.
