Seabeck residents had their power restored Monday and Tuesday after a power outage that affected 2,800 customers.

A car that struck a power pole at 8:40 a.m. Monday at NW Holly Road and Yates Lane NW west of Wildcat Lake caused the power outage, said Puget Sound Energy spokeswoman MacKenzie McDowell. Because of the wreck, two poles had to be replaced and wires needed restringing, she said.

Initially 300 residents had their power restored at 10:10 a.m. that morning and the remainder had their electricity working again between 10:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Tuesday.
