Sedgwick residence destroyed by fire

SKFR uses water tenders to douse flames

SOUTH KITSAP — A home at the 6800 block of Sedgwick Road SE in South Kitsap was destroyed by a fully involved fire Tuesday night.

The structure fire was extinguished by crews from South Kitsap Fire and Rescue, which used water tenders to supply a steady source of water in fighting the flames. One lane of Sedgwick was blocked at Locker Road by fire crews while they fought the blaze.

SKFR reported on its Facebook page that all occupants in the house had safely departed the residence before the fire became fully involved.
