KINGSTON — Patricia Louise Kearney of Kingston moved on from this world on Sept. 1 after a transformative experience with cancer. She was 58.

Memorial service is Sept. 7, 2 p.m., at the family home. Arrangements are entrusted to The Stone Chapel Poulsbo Mortuary.

She was born in Whittier, Calif., May 27, 1955 to Robert Kearney and Gladys Nelson. Patti graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and married David Bangs amidst the pines in 1982. Her accomplished eye for design made her an integral part of Kitsap-based MacKichan Software for 14 years.

Her healing journey inspired positive change in so many and included the founding of two local cancer support groups. Ultimately, she found her blissful, happiest self in her final days at home.

She enjoyed kayaking, tennis and traveling with her surviving husband and two children, Colton Bangs of Antwerp, Belgium, and Kearney DeFillipo of Philadelphia. She will be greatly missed.
