BREMERTON — Kitsap County’s severe-weather shelter will be open Dec. 6-8, 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., each night.

Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.

The shelter will serve all residents who require safe overnight refuge where none is available. Further activations will be weather dependent. Stay tuned.

For the second year in a row, non-profits in Kitsap County have received a donation of bus tickets from Kitsap Transit. These are used to help homeless individuals get to shelter, DSHS, and doctor appointments.

On Dec. 6, overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 18, with a northeast wind of 9 to 13 mph.
