Sheriff’s detectives looking for robbery suspect

Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a male suspect who reportedly robbed a homeowner earlier Dec. 5 and then fled on foot. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at a residence in the 5400 block of NE Laura Loop, about a half mile from Suquamish Way on the Port Madison Indian Reservation.

POULSBO — Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for a male suspect who reportedly robbed a homeowner earlier Dec. 5 and then fled on foot.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at a residence in the 5400 block of NE Laura Loop, about a half mile from Suquamish Way on the Port Madison Indian Reservation.

The suspect allegedly attempted to enter the home by forced entry, had a confrontation with the homeowner, then fled southbound and was last observed at the Longhouse Texaco convenience store, 15915 Highway 305 NE, Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson reported.

The Longhouse Texaco’s security surveillance system shows that the suspect approached a customer refueling a vehicle and solicited a ride. The male customer provided transportation for the suspect, leaving the store premises and heading northbound on State Highway 305 toward the City of Poulsbo.

Detectives are interested in speaking with the driver of this vehicle, described as a smaller, gold/beige passenger car. The vehicle was refueling at pump No. 4 sometime between 10:30–11:30 a.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, age 18–22, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with blond, brown or red hair and beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black baseball cap with inscription or insignia, a gray, long-sleeve shirt under a black short-sleeve shirt with an image, and carrying a large, black backpack.
