Sheriff’s office collecting donations for wounded officers

The Kitsap County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild has established a Wounded Officer Fund at Key Bank to benefit the families of the two deputies injured in the Jan. 23 Walmart shooting in Port Orchard. The fund aims to alleviate some of the additional and unexpected expenses that families of the wounded deputies face as they deal with recuperation and rehabilitation.

Donations may be made by leaving a cash or check at any Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office or any branch of Key Bank. Checks should be made payable to KCDSG Donation Account. Donations sent in the mail should be addressed to: Kitsap County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild, P.O. Box 1545, Silverdale, WA 98383.
