Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives are investigating two home invasion robberies reportedly committed Feb. 6 during the early morning and late evening hours.

No one was seriously injured, sheriff’s spokesman Scott Wilson reported.

The first robbery occurred about 2:03 a.m. on the 11000 block of Bethel Burley Road SE, South Kitsap.

An adult female occupant of the residence reported that two men forced entry into the home, held her down, and briefly searched the house before leaving.

According to the woman’s report, she and a friend had returned to the house in early evening. Around 2 a.m., she heard pounding on the front door. She thought it was her friend and opened the door.

As soon as the door was unlocked, two male suspects forced their way inside. The woman reported that she was pushed down onto to the floor and held there by one of the suspects with his boot on her chest.

Because of the darkness inside the house, the woman could only provide brief, vague descriptions, Wilson reported: One male, about 6 feet in height; the other, shorter with a medium build. She believed the men were wearing dark-colored clothing and that their faces were covered.

A search of the residence afterward revealed that nothing appeared to have been taken, Wilson reported.

The second incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on the 2800 block of NW Tasia Lane, east of Naval Base Kitsap — Bangor.

Three young men in their late teens reported that they were victims of a forced-entry robbery by three masked suspects, one of them armed with a handgun.

All three were sprayed with pepper spray, Wilson reported.

One of the teens was in his bedroom when he heard knocking at the front door. He woke up one of the other occupants and headed toward the front door to answer. As he approached, two of the suspects came at him from the back of the house, having entered through a rear door.

The first teen was pushed against a door and a wall as the third suspect, armed with a black-colored handgun, made entry through the front door.

The teens subsequently were pushed to the bedrooms; the rooms were searched by the suspects. Various electronic items and money were stolen, Wilson reported. The suspect with the handgun struck one of the teens in the back with the pistol.

Two of the house residents were forced into a corner of a bedroom while a third remained on his bed. All three were then sprayed with pepper spray.

The suspects were described as follows.

Suspect No. 1: Stocky white male, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 3 inches in height, wearing a green-colored coat and a green-colored, Balaclava-style ski mask.

Suspect No. 2: Skinny white male, 5 feet 10 inches in height, wearing a black-colored half ski mask, black-colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white-colored shoes.

Suspect No. 3: Heavier set male with darker colored skin, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches in height, wearing a clown mask and a gray-colored coat. This person was armed with the gun.

The suspects in both of the robberies ran from the victims’ residences and property on foot.

A sheriff’s K-9 team was deployed for both situations and K-9 tracks were initiated.

“Indications from the tracking K-9, along with evidence at the scene, revealed that the suspects had vehicles positioned nearby that were used to leave the area,” Wilson reported.
