PORT ORCHARD — “Port Orchard Cares,” an event at the Port Orchard Public Market June 21 that promotes Alzheimer’s awareness, will include a silent auction from 12-8 p.m. of about 30 items.

Items include Admiral Theatre VIP seating tickets, Seattle Sounders FC tickets, restaurant gift certificates, golf for four at McCormick Woods and a necklace from Rings N’ Things.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Public Market. Businesses there will contribute 10 percent of their sales revenue that day to the Alzheimer’s Association. “Port Orchard Cares” is part of the association’s national “Longest Day of the Year” promotion.
