Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 19-year-old Silverdale man identified as Dashaun C. Woodruff just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night on suspicion of child molestation that allegedly involved at least one 5-year-old girl.

The molestation act(s) were reported to have occurred in the 11000 block of Peony Place NW in the Ridgetop area of Silverdale, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO). The suspect and victim were acquaintances.

Detectives are concerned that there may be additional young victims who may not have reported inappropriate behavior by Woodruff, KCSO said.

Woodruff was arrested at his residence in an apartment complex in Silverdale and charged with first-degree child molestation. Kitsap County Superior Court Judge Leila Mills retained bail in the amount of $200,000 during arraignment Thursday afternoon.
