A 21-year-old Silverdale man called 911 Sunday, advising dispatchers to “Send them all!” and then repeatedly rammed his pickup into a responding fire department truck.

But when Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies arrested the man at his parents’ house on the 13000 block of Olympic View Road NW, he asked that they come back the next day.

CenCom dispatchers received the call at about 2:45 a.m. When a Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue battalion chief responded to the call, driving a sports utility vehicle, he found himself being rammed from behind by the suspect, according to reports. The battalion chief was not injured.

The suspect then raced to his house and went inside. Deputies contacted the man’s parents, who were on vacation, but they declined to give law enforcement permission to enter the house.

After a Superior Court judge authorized a warrant, deputies arrested the suspect. They smelled marijuana in the house, and the man’s siblings told investigators had had a few drinks.

When asked about ramming the fire truck, the suspect said, “Sorry, I won`t do it again.”

The suspect “… seemed to be under the impression that none of this was a big deal and we should just warn him,” a deputy wrote. “He asked for us to, ‘Just take the handcuffs off and forget about this.'”

The man was booked into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree assault and hit and run.
