POULSBO — Six people were taken to local hospitals with injuries from two separate crashes Thursday afternoon.
North Kitsap Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to the first incident at 3:09 p.m. The crash involved two vehicles on Bond Road at Calvary Lane, and travel along this busy route between Kingston and Poulsbo was restricted to one lane for at least a half-hour. An eastbound compact sedan, carrying three teens, apparently rear-ended a utility van as it waited to turn left onto Calvary.
All three teens were taken to local hospitals. The utility van’s two adult occupants were also taken to local hospitals. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
NKF&R crews were called to the second crash involving two vehicles on Hansville Road at NE 288th Street at 5:16 p.m. It was reported to be a “T-bone” collision. Travel along this busy route to Hansville was disrupted for a short time. One person was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
