PORT ORCHARD — Recommendations about potential school boundary shifts by a committee of parents and administrators from each South Kitsap school will be presented at two community forums Nov. 29 and 30.
Those meetings are at Marcus Whitman Middle School from 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 29, and on Nov. 30 at Cedar Heights Middle School, also scheduled for 6-7 p.m.
The South Kitsap School District’s Boundary Review Committee has been meeting over the past three months to study the interrelated issues of student enrollment, classroom capacity and future growth in the district.
In addition to feedback the district receives at the community forums, it also is using an online survey to seek additional input from parents, school staff and the community, district spokeswoman Amy Miller said. A link to the survey is being sent to community members through email, social media and notification on the district’s website. The link is: my.thoughtexchange.com/#130919535/hub.
