The South Kitsap School District announced the hiring of two new members of the district staff.

Tracy Patterson has been hired as the assistant superintendent in business service, Superintendent Michelle Reid announced June 6.

Patterson replaces Sandy Rotella, who moved to Colorado earlier this year.

She will begin her new role on July 1 and will be transitioning with Joe Paperman and Al Jones during July. Paperman and Jones share the role as interim chief financial officer (CEO) for the district.

Patterson is currently the business manager in the Renton School District.

She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is working on her master’s degree in school business leadership.

Reid said Misty Dieffenbach is the district’s new assistant superintendent of human resources.

Dieffenbach currently serves as director of human resources in the Port Angeles School District. She has a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and a master’s in management and strategy.

Dieffenbach will begin her new role on July 1 and will be transitioning with Lynn Stellick throughout July.
