The wintry weather will continue in South Kitsap for at least the next several days, bringing more snow to the area.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for partly cloudy on Tuesday evening, then snow showers after midnight.
The low temperature will hover around 25 degrees, with winds at 5 to 10 mph. The chance of snow is 60 percent, with accumulations of less than one inch.
On Wednesday, more snow is expected with temperatures expected to linger in the low to mid 30s.
The chance of snow is 80 percent, with 2 to 4 inches expected.
The Independent’s Web site, www.portorchardindependent, will post school closure information by 5:30 a.m. for the rest of the week, when students leave on Christmas Break.
