Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives have identified two of the suspects believed to be involved in a residential burglary last week.
The two men forced their way into an unoccupied house in the Sunnyslope area of South Kitsap during the afternoon of Nov. 14. They were armed with a handgun.
Once inside, the men ransacked the residence. Items stolen during the burglary include a semi-automatic handgun, personal identifying documents belonging to the residents, credit cards, electronic entertainment console, jewelry and more.
The suspects have been identified as Andrew Michael Hoffman, 28, and Tony Rem, 25.
Hoffman is 5’6″ and weighs 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. Hoffman has multiple tattoos on his arms, hands and hip. He is known to frequent South King County, Tacoma and South Kitsap. A felony arrest warrant was issued by Kitsap County District Court for burglary and unlawful possession of a firearm. Bail was set at $250,000.
Rem is 5’8″ and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and has multiple tattoos on his arms, hands, shoulders and chest. Rem is a violent offender and has previous felony convictions for assault. He is known to frequent Auburn, Federal Way, White Center and Rainier Valley. A felony arrest warrant was issued for unlawful possession of a firearm with bail set at $250,000.
The two suspects may still be in possession of a black 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. The license plate is B14937V.
