PORT ORCHARD — A 28-year-old South Kitsap man was wounded Jan. 26 when he was shot in the 3900 block of SE Salmonberry Road.
While the man’s gunshot wounds were not considered to be life-threatening, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives are still mystified about the identity of two people — Good Samaritans — who transported him to the urgent care clinic in Port Orchard.
Two unidentified witnesses dropped him off around 2:18 p.m. at the South Kitsap Harrison Urgent Care Clinic in Port Orchard with two gunshot injuries, sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson reported.
“He subsequently was transported by ambulance to Harrison Medical Center [in] Bremerton for further evaluation and treatment. His wounds are not considered life-threatening,” Wilson reported.
“Investigators presently are looking for a white adult male driver and a white adult female passenger of a white-colored Toyota Prius vehicle that transported the wounded man to the urgent care clinic in Port Orchard. Detectives are attempting to identify the two Good Samaritans, as they are considered witnesses in this investigation: they stopped to assist a wounded man and drove him to a medical treatment facility.”
The shooting reportedly occurred between 1:30 and 2 p.m.
Wilson said anyone with information about the shooting or the Good Samaritans should call Kitsap 911 or 360-308-5400.
