Kitsap County Public Works reports the following roadwork projects through the week in South Kitsap that may impact motorists:
WSDOT ADVISORY – SR 166 between Port Orchard and Gorst remains closed. This closure is the first phase of a culvert replacement that includes SR 16 and Anderson Hill Road.
NEW – Pre-leveling work in various locations:
County crews are pre-leveling roads in South Kitsap all this week. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work areas. Expect delays of up to five minutes at these locations:
SE Maple Street between Jackson Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue SE – Monday
Starr Road SE from Crescent Valley Road SE to the end – Tuesday
SW Daisy Street, SW Wava Lane and Wicks End Lane SW – Wednesday through Friday
ONGOING – E Main Street / E Madrone Avenue, from the intersection of Beach Drive E. and Spring Street E. to Alaska Avenue E.
This road will be closed from May 2 through Sept. 16 for phase 3 of a continuing stormwater project there. Closures are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be detoured around the work. Plan for significant delays. Use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.
